Carriers for Plus Sized Parents
We have lots of options for plus sized Moms and Dads. We carry (in stock) a variety of L and XL ring slings that will generally fit people up to 300 pounds, sometimes more.
Most of our Mei Tais will easily fit women up to a size 20/22, larger sizes will and we can order XL straps on request. If there is sufficient interest, we will start carrying XL straps as a regular option.
Hotslings are available up to a size 9. If we don't have your size in stock, please contact us and we will order it.
Wraps are available up to 6 yards, with larger carriers often available by special order.

Many plus sized parents recommend unpadded Ring and Wraparound carriers for large mammas. Unpadded, open tailed ring slings are very popular because they are relatively cool and each rail (top and bottom edge of fabric) can be independently adjusted as needed.
Wraparound carriers are some of the most comfortable you can buy. Woven fabrics are usually recommend for the support and cooler fabrics, but some people are quite happy with stretchy wraps. It is often easier for "new wrapers" to get comfortable in a stretchy wrap - especially with a small baby.
